Getting Started
Q: What does “Ready-to-Assemble (RTA)” mean for my project?
A: RTA cabinets ship flat-packed and are designed to be assembled on-site, which helps keep costs and shipping efficient.
Q: What’s the best first step before placing a full cabinet order?
A: If you’re deciding on finish/style, start with sample doors and a layout plan so you can confirm the look and the cabinet list before checkout.
Q: Can you help confirm my cabinet list for a kitchen layout?
A: Yes. You can request a free design review so we can help validate layout flow and cabinet selection.
Q: How do I see the full total (shipping + tax) before I pay?
A: Add items to cart and go to checkout—enter your shipping address to see the final total before completing payment.
Orders & Payment
Q: Which payment methods are available at checkout?
A: We accept major credit/debit cards (including Visa/Mastercard/AmEx/Discover), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, and bank transfer. Other options may be possible case-by-case.
Q: Can I edit my order after checkout?
A: Changes are possible within 24 hours of purchase if the order hasn’t been picked up by the carrier yet.
Q: How do I get order confirmation and updates?
A: You’ll receive email updates as your order processes and when it ships (including tracking).
Q: Will sales tax be added to my order?
A: If your shipping address is in a state where tax is required, it will be calculated and shown during checkout.
Shipping & Delivery
Q: What shipping methods do you use for cabinets and parts?
A: We ship using USPS Ground, FedEx Ground, or Estes LTL Freight depending on shipment size and handling needs.
Q: How long does it take to ship my order out?
A: Standard orders typically ship in 1–3 business days; custom or large orders may take 3–6 business days to process.
Q: How long is transit time once it ships?
A: USPS Ground is usually 2–12 business days, FedEx Ground 3–10 business days, and Estes LTL Freight 3–16 business days.
Q: Do you offer free shipping?
A: Yes—orders over $2,800 ship free within the contiguous U.S. (Alaska & Hawaii excluded). Orders under $2,800 calculate shipping by size, weight, and destination.
Q: How do I track delivery progress?
A: Once the shipment leaves, we email tracking details so you can follow it on the carrier’s website.
Q: What does “curbside delivery” mean for freight shipments?
A: The carrier delivers to the curb/driveway. Moving cartons inside is the customer’s responsibility.
Q: Can my order arrive in multiple shipments?
A: Yes. Some orders ship in separate packages/shipments—verify carton count and items received before signing when possible.
Returns & Claims
Q: What’s the difference between a return and a claim?
A: A return is for unopened/unused items you no longer want; a claim is for delivery issues like damage or missing items.
Q: What is the return request window?
A: Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.
Q: What condition must items be in to qualify for a return?
A: Items must be unused, unassembled, unmodified, in original packaging, complete, and resalable.
Q: Is there a restocking fee for returns?
A: Approved non-sample returns have a 25% restocking fee. Sample doors are returnable with no restocking fee.
Q: Who pays for return shipping?
A: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Q: What are the deadlines for reporting delivery problems?
A: Visible damage: notify us within 3–5 calendar days of delivery. Concealed damage: notify us within 7 calendar days (include shipping label photo). Missing items: notify us within 10 calendar days.
Q: How long does a claim review take after I submit it?
A: Claims are reviewed within 5–7 business days. If approved, we arrange replacements or an appropriate solution promptly.
Product Details
Q: What materials are used in your cabinet construction?
A: Cabinet fronts/frames use solid wood, and cabinet boxes use furniture-grade plywood.
Q: Are cabinet interiors and sides finished to match the exterior?
A: Interiors are typically natural wood. Side finish depends on the cabinet line—always check the product specifications.
Q: Do you offer unfinished cabinets for customer painting?
A: No. Finishes are factory-applied rather than unfinished raw cabinets.
Installation & Assembly
Q: Do I need wood glue to assemble RTA cabinets?
A: Glue is optional. Many customers assemble without it, while others use glue for extra rigidity—either approach is acceptable.
Q: Should I remove my old cabinets before the new ones arrive?
A: It’s best to wait until your new cabinets arrive and you’ve confirmed all cartons/parts are present before removing old cabinets.
Warranty & Support
Q: What warranty do you provide?
A: A 5-Year Limited Warranty applies to the original purchaser for residential use, effective from the delivery date.
Q: How do I start a warranty request and when will I hear back?
A: Email support@nextcabinets.com with your order number, description, and photos. The team reviews submissions within 72 hours (3 business days) and replies with next steps.
